During the summer of 2018, I hired Lisa Dailey to do a landscape design for a home we are building in Highlands, N.C.  Lisa has expertise in landscape design, an exhaustive knowledge of native plant material, and the rare ability to marry the two into a most pleasing and functional landscape. Her design is detailed but does not appear contrived or overly formal.  Her aesthetic is strong and consistent, but allows the plantings to shine in every season, as if they naturally occurred.  Our yard has sun and shade, and Lisa created areas that featured both.     

We didn’t want a high maintenance yard, but wanted a landscape that looked and felt welcoming, colorful, soothing, and natural.  She achieved all of these things and did it in an economical and efficient way.  She is passionate about landscape, plants, and dirt.  Do not begin to think that you can achieve a robust, long term, low maintenance landscape if you do not start with excellent soil!  Lisa educated me in the importance of high quality soil as the physical basis of a fantastic landscape.  While more costly up front, it pays for itself for many years with the nutrients your plants requires, whether flowering, shrubs, trees, or ground over.  

If your goal is a stunning, low maintenance landscape that will give you year after year of beauty and blooms then you must hire a professional, who is knowledgeable and passionate.  I speak from experience when l recommend Lisa Dailey, she is fantastic to work with.  She understands the clients needs, the landscapes requirements, and what it takes to maximize your landscape’s potential.  She will do the hard work up front that will make your yard or garden a thing of beauty and respite.  Her talents, dedication, and delightful personality made our entire experience terrific.
